JOB DESCRIPTION1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Job Context: To synthesize and characterization of organic compounds under supervision and at times even individually.Challenges: Should be able work under high pressure and stretch according to the target timelines.2*. DETAILS OF THE JOB: *Designation: Research AssociateLevelA3Function : Medicinal ChemistryWork Location : Bangalore3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Synthesis of compounds Plan the synthetic routes for the targeted compounds Perform literature search using scientific database (SciFinder etc.) Perform different chemical reactions for the small and medium scale synthesis of compounds following good laboratory practices. Analyzing compounds using a good range of modern separation and spectroscopic techniques.Data and record preparations Interpret and characterize the products and compile data for every experiment Write and maintain records of observations and conclusions for every experiment in timely manner Conducting literature searches for specific target compounds, structures related to the target compound and determine specific conditions for reactions. Communicate experimental outcome and provide routine updates to the reporting manager on status of the work plan Writing scientific procedures, presentation of research summaries at project meeting.Team work Active participation in departmental seminars Follow safety protocols and maintain the lab in a clean manner4. KEY INTERFACESInternal Interfaces Analytical Chemistry, Biology, DMPK, Structural Biology and Computational Chemistry5. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education QualificationMaster of Science in Organic ChemistryExperience Range : 2-8 yearsDesirable experience : Experience in a drug discovery industry/ CRO in synthesis department.Should be able to do multi step synthesis.Capable of handling milligram to multigram scale reactions.6. SKILLS REQUIRED: Functional Skills (Functional Expert) Multi step Organic synthesisHandling milligram to multigram scale reactions.Characterization of organic compoundsSpectroscopic & related TechniquesWell versed with chemistry related software such as ISIS Draw, Chem Draw.Familiar with scientific databases like Scifinder and Exposed to retrieve data from chemical abstracts, journals and patents.Behavioral Skills (Working Knowledge) Good interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work in team environmentEagerness to learnThis Opening is for our client company is Bengaluru.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: INR300,000.00 – INR1,000,000.00 per yearSchedule:
