Job Description Summary
We are looking for shift supervisor for Sanand Location for machining and assembly of turbine parts like Rotor, casings, bearing pedestal, valves, blades, hydrotesting etc.
Drive and coordinate the execution with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.
Demonstrate appropriate responsive behaviour to guide the team and standard work
Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
EHS & Quality
Zero deviation in Safety standards, Promote EHS Concern reporting up to technician level
Steer and Drive the Framework element requirement deployment.
Promote Open Reporting on any quality concern.
Steer and Drive Root Cause analysis for any NCRs/Customer Feedback
Manufacturing Execution
Plan monthly manufacturing schedule/queue along with Planning.
Monitor daily progress of manufacturing of all machines with Loss analysis
Raise Alarm for any overrun or component impacting OTD
Monitor Machine Utilization and work with Lean Manager to reduce losses.
Coordinate with Stakeholders like Quality/MMI for any customer hold points/manufacturing input requirements and DMS ownership
Monitor deployment of Autonomous Maintenance and work with maintenance team for major machine issues.
Book daily hours in SAP based on manufacturing progress
Closely work with Process engineer for any improvement on current manufacturing process/new upcoming projects.
Coordinate with Engineering/Quality for faster disposition for any defects.
Consumable Inventory management and cost control within budget
Resource planning of turbine execution team, and people management.
Maintain and Update Skill Matrix of all technicians along with their development plan.
Interact with related Departments, Clarify Deviations, give technical guidance to subordinates to ensure quality production meeting Statutory regulations at least time and cost
Develop and improve process, foster suggestions from employees to reduce cycle time and cost
Maintain housekeeping (5S), Guide, monitor and supervise compliance with all safety standard and environment policy and norms (in line with ISO- 14001 and OHSAS- 18001) to ensure safe and healthy working environment.
Ensures experience and lessons learned are properly fed back to FMEA analysis
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years hands on experience in Manufacturing engineering
Well versed with MS-Office and SAP.
Experience in Steam turbine components machining and Assembly
Hands on expertise in assembly activities development & execution
Language Skills:
Mandatory (MUST): English, Hindi
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE): Gujarati

High degree of integrity.
