Job purpose
The position of Project Officer (BMG)-
Bal Mitra Gram is designed to work closely with Department of Women and Child Development (DoWCD) under supervision of Program Coordinator and support the department in strengthening the child protection mechanism at village level by replicating the Bal Mitra Gram (BMG) program of KSCF.
(Role Expectations)
Support the program coordinator in identifying the status of child protection in the state and identifying issues at state and district level.
Supporting program coordinator in strengthening the child protection mechanism from village to district level in order to make village Bal Mitra or Child Friendly through the programmes of state governments.
Identifying the convergence points between various porogrammes of the DoWCD and KSCF’s Bal Mitra Gram (BMG) program and replication of the same through government mechanism.
Supporting the department in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of the BMG program.
Strengthen the monitoring of implementation of JJ Act, CLPRA, RTE, PCMA, BLSA and Trafficking related laws and the corresponding rules.
Implementation and monitoring of ICPS, SOPS, and provisions of various child related laws.
Processing documentation, data recording and maintenance, and reporting of input, activities, outputs, outcome, challenges, impact, and best practices and overall coordination with Central Office.
Networking with law enforcement and child protection agencies, to collaborate on issues of prevention, protection, prosecution and rehabilitation of children.
Assist and coordinate in developing training modules and organising training programmes per year across the state on issues of child protection and identifyig the gaps.
Ensuring coordination and convergence in activities regarding prevention, protection and rehabilitation by all child protection and law enforcement agencies, within the state and with other states.
Training and capacity building of LEOs for the implementation and monitoring of BMG programmes.
Any other work given by the Supervisor.
Requirements

Education, Experience and Exposure
Education
o Advance degree in relevant discipline from institute/university of repute preferably covering social work as a topic of study
Experience & Exposure
o Minimum 5 years’ experience in child welfare, and/or Community development
o Professional experience of managing programs at local/regional levels
o Demonstrated experience of writing reports, documentations of best practices, policy briefs etc.
o Experience of monitoring & evaluation of large scale programmes and data analysis.
o Experience of working in the geographies of MP/Gujarat
o Managerial Experience of handling multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
o Experience of working in government programmes strongly preferred.
o Professional experience of working in NGO’s, CSO’s, Foundations or business CSRs.
o Demonstrated ability to liaise, network and support advocacy efforts with government and alike stakeholders
o Excellent verbal and written English/Hindi and regional language.
Required skills: Proficient in MS office (MS word, excel and PPT), report writing, drafting emails, and good command over telephonic correspondences. Good command on English and Hindi.
Desirable skills: Acquaintance to local language.
