About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Global Payment Services.

This role is to provide the GPS (Global Payment Services) Technical Solutions team with the core business analytics & payment consulting support for USD Core Technical Solutions, a payment functionality within Global Payment Services LOB. This includes:

Support the execution of all GPS business initiatives, assists in data sources and involve in complex analytical work or exploratory data analysis.
As an SME, the primary responsibility of this role is for supporting various Strategy initiatives, product consulting analysis and inputs for proposals. Duties typically include support for developing client solutions on a wide array of business initiatives including Industry initiatives.
Working on multiple data sources, compiles/mines data for developing payment analytics and interpret results into insights thereby assisting in meaningful client discussions. Data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured and from multiple sources.
Responsible for providing Payment analytical reports & preparing Dashboards.
Responsible for deep-dive analysis on client payments which outline payment activity trends and new business opportunities and assisting in construction of client solutions using existing data analytical tools and methodology.
Compilation of key product performance metrics, coupled with detailed data analysis on new opportunities, existing usage of current services, potential for incremental growth, management of costs/contra-revenues, etc.
Enable strategic planning and tactical product direction by providing necessary data analytics across supported products.
Collaborate with cross functional teams or interdependent banking groups on common tasks / objectives.

Essential Qualifications:
The role carries a strong requirement for computer and data analytical skills combined with business application. Key attributes for the qualifying candidate to be successful in this role would include:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with requisite technical expertise with Excel, SQL, and similar analytic tools.
Good working knowledge of cross-border payments, including SWIFT formats (MT103, MT202, etc.), Fedwire (CTR/BTR) and CHIPS (Bank/Non-bank) formats, and inquiry/investigation handling. Basic working knowledge of foreign exchange is a bonus. Understanding of the SWIFT global payments innovation initiative (SWIFT gpi) is a plus.
Strong Project management skills & Advanced technical skills in MS-Office Applications and other database tools
Focus on Risk management: demonstrable with appropriate subject matter knowledge and attention to risk in day to day functions.
Educational qualification: College degree with relevant major (business, finance, accounting and/or computer science).
8+ years in International or domestic banking payments and International Banking Systems Knowledge including Transaction Banking.

Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills, Solid problem solving skills, Good presentation skills, Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels; where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important. Proficient in the use of analytical tools such as spreadsheets, and databases to conduct analysis and powerpoint to present results.
